About Us
The English Club was created to motivate students to learn the English language and culture in a funny way. Every year we organize different activities to celebrate festivities of the English-speaking world. Our activities are quizzes, competitions, games, the Club Newsletter and many others.
This web page is one of our most recent projects. Here you can read information, participate in our interactive competitions or games, share your opinions and ideas in the blog or, even better, become an active member of the English Club.

History of project
The English Club began at Escola Secundária de Gondomar in 1994/1995. Our aim was to create a place where students and teachers could develop extracurricular projects in order to improve their English skills creatively.
When we started, we used to meet once a week with a small group of students to listen to music, watch video films, read magazines or just talk. There was a South African student who shared her life experience with the Portuguese students.
Nowadays, things are different! New technologies have changed our strategies and this brand new page shows it clearly!
